Boarding & Grooming

Does your pet get to play while you’re away?  If not, working or vacationing pet parents can mean long lonely days and nights for any pet.  We pleased to offer boarding services, and are more than happy to take of your pet — large or small, cat, dog or exotic — while you are away on vacation or business.

Because we also offer veterinary services, as a boarding facility we are in the unique position to be able to give your pet veterinary care while he or she stays with us. Board with us and you can be sure that your pet receives the best possible care.  Holidays fill up fast, so make your reservations early!  Of course, in order to stay with us, your pet must be current on vaccinations such as rabies and FVRCP, bordetella and DHLPPC.  If not current, we will be happy to give your pet the proper vaccinations.

Our veterinarians examine every patient that will be boarding with us when they begin their stay, so when your pet goes home you will receive a wellness report card.  We do this to ensure that any medical problems you may not have noticed can be monitored while your pet stays with us.   We want your vacation to be worry free!

It may sound cliche, but it’s true; a well groomed pet is a happy pet.  Our experienced groomers can provide the full range of grooming services, across all breeds large and small. Bring your pet in for the day, for instance, and we’ll treat him or her to a “spa day” that includes bath, grooming and nail trim.  Our Coats and Tails groomers, Kelly Langston and Elaine Talamantes  are both experts as, between them, they have more than fifteen years of grooming experience.

Special Needs Grooming
Our grooming shop is located at the same site as our hospital, so we can offer drop-off exam and grooming options for your convenience. Does you pet get stressed by baths or grooming? We offer sedated bath and grooming services, using a reversible sedation protocol so that your pet is not asleep any longer than absolutely necessary.

In addition to the traditional grooming services, we also offer grooming procedures/treatments that address the special needs that pets often have. One such treatment is our medicated shampoo bath.  Furry animals are, not surprisingly, susceptible to skin conditions caused by microorganisms and bacteria.  We can treat your furry friend for the irritation and itching that accompanies these skin conditions and then put him or her on a regular course of treatment that will prevent future issues from occuring.
